Father Jeffry Kennedy

As Honorary Assistant, Fr Kennedy is a grateful and enthusiastic member of the clergy team.

Being at St Thomas's is a coming home of sorts - having first attended and worshipped in this place on a transformative visit in his teenage years from Brantford. The significance of that powerful experience remains with him to this day.

Since his retirement in 2013, Fr Kennedy enjoys his current journey of learning and re-discovery. "Returning home" to St Thomas's tradition of ancient words and liturgy provides him with an experience of feeling bathed, healed, renewed and nourished.

Fr Kennedy grew up in the Diocese of Huron and was ordained Priest in the Diocese of Toronto in 1986.

After serving at St Clement's, the Parish of Perrytown and St Alban's, he served most recently as rector of St Matthias Bellwoods - the founding Anglo-Catholic church in the Diocese of Toronto - as well as Regional Dean of Parkdale.

Fr Kennedy attended Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo with a focus in both psychology and music. At Huron College Seminary at the University of Western Ontario, he earned his Master of Divinity.
