St Thomas's 125th Anniversary Celebration

The Feast of Dedication | Sunday, October 14

Archbishop Colin Johnson will be our guest celebrant and preacher as we mark the 125th anniversary of Eden Smith's beautiful church. A splendid reception will follow the 11 a.m. service.

 

The Baptistery Revealed | Sunday, October 28 & November 4, following coffee hour after the 11 a.m. service

Parishioner Carl Benn will lead two tours of our Church and baptistery to help us understand the significance of this remarkable space in anticipation of the rededication of the restored windows in the First World War Memorial baptistery. RSVP for limited spaces and for a light lunch.

 

The Armistice Centenary | Sunday, November 11 at 7:00 pm

A service to mark the 100th anniversary of the Great War, and to rededicate our beautifully restored baptistery windows. A reception will follow.

 

Parish Mission | Friday, November 23 to Sunday, November 25

The Rev'd Dr George Westhaver, Principal of Pusey House, Oxford, will deliver a series of addresses to lead us in contemplating together our parish witness and mission. "Life in Abundance: Anglo-Catholic Principles of Spiritual Renewal"

Friday 23rd 

  •  Choral Evensong at 7:00 pm & First Address (reception to follow)

Saturday 24th

  • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm: Two addresses, discussion. Lunch will be served.

Sunday 25th

  • Sermons at the morning services, followed by a light lunch.
  • Afternoon session with university students.
  • Closing address during Evensong & Devotions, followed by a reception.
