A Film Adaptation of Ravel’s Histoires naturelles

Mezzo-soprano Máiri Demings and pianist Zain Solinski comprise the classical music duo “mezzopiano.” On Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m., they will perform Maurice Ravel’s Histoires naturelles (settings of poems by Jules Renard) while the audience views a stop-motion film by Emily Ellis, whose animated figures bring to life the various creatures in Renard’s poems. Also on the program is music by Poulenc.
